The Kildow Building project will rehabilitate a historic 1898, three-story property in downtown Tiffin, Ohio into a 16,100-square-foot mixed-use space featuring commercial storefronts, co-working offices, and a top-floor residential unit.

Situated within the National Register-listed Downtown Tiffin Historic District, the 1898 Kildow Building featured the
first “Chicago Windows” or picture windows in Tiffin’s central business district.
Code Upgrades

The project will bring the building up to current Fire, Safety and ADA Code requirements.
Window Rehabilitation
Window Rehabilitation
Historic windows will be retained and will be repaired in place in accordance with NPS Preservation Brief 9, "The Repair of Historic Wooden Windows."
Vault Lighting
Vault Lighting
The historic sidewalk in front of the building including the vault lights over the coal vault will be repaired and retained.
